Your problems could also be a clogged radiator or failed water pump. There are other possibilities as well including a blown head gasket. Hi all, newbe here – I bought a 2004 E60 530d (pre LCI) around 4 weeks ago and have been having some problems with it since as follows…. E61 cranking, no start. My '06 E61 will not start, it cranks but no firing at all and no start. I have checked the ignition by pulling a plug and laying it on the engine and cranking. I have a problem with starting my E60 530d m57. The car was in the garage on a lift while I was trying to discover where the coolant leak was. After discovering it, I took the battery off the car and hook it up to a charger. The coolant leak was under the EGR cooler. I took the vacuum pump off to see better where the The E60 will feel a lot more modern than the E46, a lot more grown up but mine handles as well as the 330 sport it replaced. I’m not up with modding these, they are a lot different than the E46. If you get a 535 then it will have the same callipers as mine on the front. .
